What CTI Forensics has to offer

A Level lll Infrared Thermography Certification is primarily a Thermographer who writes the company's written predictive maintenance/inspection practices, develops the test procedures and severity criteria, determines how often equipment should be inspected, and calculates the return on investment the thermography program is providing.

Having completed this advanced infrared training, our Level III thermographer can provide guidance to Level I and II certified personnel. The Level III thermographer is the resource to consult when repeat equipment problems necessitate a review of operating and maintenance procedures, or involve a redesign of equipment.

CTI Forensics offers a Level III certified Thermographer with its services. This certification takes years to obtain. This certification includes training on how to establish inspection procedures, apply industry-specific standards, budget for equipment purchases and implement safety protocols. Certified members also learn how to develop an equipment list, establish severity criteria, set repair priorities, and determine IR survey frequencies; all critical elements of a successful inspection program. Our Thermographers also come with hands-on training which includes actual labs that re-enforce the principles discussed including exercises that address advanced thermal science, written procedures and current industry standards.

Client Testimonials

Real faces, Real names, Real experiences

Ian has inspected six properties for us. Each time he was very thorough and knowledgeable in giving us information about the homes so that we were able to make a decision on buying the properties. His reports are very comprehensive and they provide many pictures of the properties. I will not use any other home inspector in the Niagara region. I fully trust Ian's work.

CTI Forensics service was EXTREMELY thorough and he is so knowledgeable. As first time home buyers, Ian made us feel very confident in the expenses we should expect over the next five years should we buy the house. It was a very informative experience, and we left with a 35-page report outlining major and minor concerns (as well as lots of pictures by email). Ian is clearly passionate about his work. I would highly recommend Home Sweet Home if you are looking for a thorough home inspection.

We hired Mr. Johnson in order to capitalize on our 1 year Tarion warranty admission. Having no building experience myself it was easy to see nail pops and “minor” annoyances as such, but when Ian lit his thermal imaging camera up it was obvious corners were cut. He found deficiencies in attic insulation, corners of the foundation cracked (nickel width), plumbing, electrical and HVAC issues. I asked for someone who would nit-pick my house and that’s what I got. Very thorough and professional in his assessment. I would highly recommend this company for your home ispencting needs.
